Over twenty years of safety engineering experience
Risk Design Engineering was founded on 01/10/2020, built upon the twenty years of experience of Eng. Luca Stantero in designing safety systems for major transport infrastructures and in developing analytical methods and tools for risk assessment.
RDE combines expertise in the engineering of safety systems and technologies with the concept of risk associated with an activity, with the goal of optimizing safety for users, workers, and infrastructure operators.
Every critical event arises from a combination of probability and consequences. Risk cannot be completely eliminated, but it can be understood, measured, and reduced. This is where our work begins.
Risk design translates the concept of risk into a method: we analyze possible scenarios, assess the impact of events, and design solutions that keep risk within acceptable limits (the ALARP principle).
This approach enables the creation of safer, more efficient, and more sustainable infrastructures: avoiding waste and over-engineering, reducing accidents and downtime, and increasing the resilience and lifespan of systems.
For RDE, safety is something that must be verified in the field: we test, check, and validate every solution to ensure it works in the real world, not just in models.
